Centrica Energy Storage Limited (CESL) has started planning for decommissioning of the platform infrastructure associated with the 47/8A installation within the Rough Field, located circa 29km North East of Easington, Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom Southern North Sea.
The Rough Field contains two installations, 47/8A & 47/3B.
Note that the 47/3B installation, Rough Field pipelines and Rough Field subsea infrastructure are not contained within the decommissioning scope. For further information on the 47/3B Installation, Rough Field Gas Storage operations and other ongoing projects at CESL, please visit the CESL website.
Centrica Energy Storage Limited has submitted, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, a draft Decommissioning Programme for the Topsides and Jackets of the Rough Alpha installation in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Act 1998.
The facilities covered by the Decommissioning Programme are:
