Carolyn Clarke, Centrica's Head of Audit, Risk & Control, has been appointed to the Trustee Board of the Institute of Business Ethics', which works to encourage ethical behaviour in business.
Carolyn Clarke, Centrica’s Head of Audit, Risk & Control, is one of four new trustees to have been appointed to join the Institute of Business Ethics’ Trustee Board led by Chair Edward Bickham.
The Institute of Business Ethics (IBE) was established by the business community in 1986 to encourage high standards of business behaviour based on ethical values. The Institute aims to raise public awareness of the importance of doing business ethically and works to help organisations strengthen their ethics culture through the sharing of knowledge and good practice.
The Institute also assists in the development, implementation and embedding of effective and relevant corporate ethics and responsibility policies and programmes.
Carolyn joins new trustees from organisations including City of London Police and HSBC.
Commenting on her appointment, Carolyn said: “it is a great honour to be given this opportunity to create a stronger ethics culture in business and look forward to helping IBE fulfil its mission to promote better business behaviour.”
Edward Bickham, Chair of IBE’s Trustee Board said: “more corporate scandals means that IBE’s practical advice is needed more than ever, and I look forward to working with the new and existing trustees in continuing to raise awareness and spread best practice in business ethics.”
